NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — There’s no way around it: The Knicks are a complete mess right now.
After losing to the Hawks on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks fell to 3-6 and 1-5 on their home floor. Last year’s Atlantic Division champions are tied with Brooklyn for last place and are tied for 11th in the Eastern Conference.
So in an effort to shake things up, is a major trade on the way?
It might be. According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, the Knicks are attempting to land Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, who is coming off knee surgery.
New York has attempted to deal Iman Shumpert, Raymond Felton and Amar’e Stoudemire in a deal for the four-time NBA All-Star, but Celtics general manager Danny Ainge doesn’t appear to be interested, according to Isola.
